Description

A blank bill of quantities template in Excel for any trade or scope of work: civil, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fit-out, building works or anything we don’t yet have a dedicated BOQ for. The structure, formulas and summary are built. You type your own bills, sections and items. Use it as a QS to issue a tender, or as a contractor to price one.

It works the same way as our trade BOQs: supply and installation are priced separately on every line, so the work can be measured and claimed properly later.

What’s included in the BOQ template

• 12 bills in one sheet: Bill 1 Preliminaries & General, 10 blank bills for your scope, and Bill 12 Provisional Sums & Daywork Rates
• Each blank bill has 2 sections with 15 item rows each, and a scope note you can type over or delete
• Preliminaries already set up: insurances, establishment, site facilities, handover documents, and time-related items such as supervision, vehicles and access equipment. Edit or add to them.
• Daywork rates for tradesperson, labourer, supervisor and plant
• Cover sheet with project details and a signed tenderer’s declaration
• Reference documents sheet for drawings and specifications

Built for real tenders

• Supply rate, install rate and S&I rate on every line, with supply, install and total amounts.
• Supply By and Install By columns. Free-issue and “by others” items drop out of the totals automatically.
• Bill titles you type carry to the Summary automatically.
• Cost by area or building on the Summary.
• Pricing checks flag lines with a quantity but no rate before you issue or submit.
• Contingency, tax and tender sum carry to the tenderer’s declaration on the cover.

Works with the rest of the set

The rows match the General Works Daily Progress Tracker and the General Works Payment Certificate. Paste your priced BOQ into the monthly claim, and your bill titles follow.
